There’s no denying…we, at Lake Nona Pools, love Google+. One of our favorite features of Google+ is the ability to have a “Hangout.” Hangouts are a way for us to have a live video chat with anyone. We will be available to answer your pool questions live every Monday morning from 10am to 11am. All you need to do is have a Google+ account, and visit our Lake Nona Pools page on Google+ during 10am-11am any Monday morning, and you can jump in and hangout with us. We’ll be able to discuss pool problems, swimming pool questions, water chemistry questions, give advice on swimming topics, discuss pool products, or answer billing questions. You don’t even need to be a client to join us. If you have a question, give us a try.

We’re hoping to figure out bigger and better things to offer on our Google+ page, but for now, we’re hoping our customer service hour will be a success.

We’ve already emailed everyone,  but we want to remind you that we’ll be off next week to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday (we’re also off the week of Christmas), but if you need us for anything, our phones are always on.

So what if you don’t want to speak with us? We’ve got you covered there too. It’s a lesser known feature to the site, but we have a chat box enabled everywhere on the site in case you have a quick question for us.

From our homepage at http://www.lakenonapools.com/, you’ll notice our first chat box near the bottom of the page. It looks like this:

It loads automatically, and if we’re online, it will let you know. If not, you can still send us a message, and it will let us know when we sign in again, but be sure to leave contact info, because it doesn’t provide that for us.

But maybe you came here by searching something on Google, and you don’t want to go to the homepage. No problem. Take a look at the bar across the bottom of our page. See the section labeled “Chat With us Live?” Yep, that’s our system-wide chat box. Just click that, and a new chat box will open. It looks like this:

Now understand…We’re not always logged into our website, but with today’s technology, we can be signed into Meebo from our mobile phones and chat with you while we’re out in the field, or wherever we may be. Here’s what we see:

If for some reason, we’re not showing up as Live in chat, and we’re not answering our phone (very rare), it means all of us are in an area with no service, but leaving a message on our phone or through chat will guarantee you get contacted within 4 hours.

We hear time and time again that pool service companies never answer their phones. We’re doing our best to make sure you’re not talking about us by giving you as many options to get in touch with us as we can.

As the unofficial start of the swim season begins, we stop to remember that war has claimed the lives of more than 1.3 million soldiers in United States history and more than 1.7 million veterans have been wounded.

We sincerely thank those of you who have served or are serving for our country and we especially remember those who were injured and those that have fallen today.

It’s not only Florida anymore. Exhibitors and attendees from all over will be attending to be a part of this experience. This annual Show will continue to bring professionals from throughout the United States together to learn about new products, new technology, new trends and new practices – and we’ll be there to cover it.

The Orlando Pool Show is a big part of Lake Nona Pools focus on continuing education. Laws change, chemicals change, and construction changes – and we’re on top of it.

This year, we plan to bring along the video camera, and we’ll be sharing some of the new items coming to market. If you have any requests, let us know, and we’ll be sure try to find it.

The event is February 19th-20th, so expect a few changes in your service schedule for that week. We’ll remind you as we get closer to the date.

We finally got a chance to register for the 2009 Orlando Pool & Spa Show. The show is held annually in Orlando at the Convention Center, and features new products in the swimming pool industry, and also provides continuing education classes. We have our plates full with classes, but we’ll do our best to live blog the event, and show you all the new products we can find!

The event is being held February 19-21.
